Dr. Andrew Wong practices internal medicine at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group’s new primary care practice in Westport, and is the Regional Medical Director for the Bridgeport, Fairfield and Westport areas. Prior to joining the Medical Group, he practiced primary care in Greenwich for 12 years.

With a strong interest in precision medicine and healthful living, Dr. Wong takes into account an individual’s genetic and family history, environmental conditions, and lifestyle habits in order to create an effective treatment plan for each of his patients. He focuses on preventing illness and reducing physical and mental health risks and stressors. He encourages his patients to be more mindful of the decisions they make in the present, so they can enjoy healthful living in the future.

Dr. Wong received his medical degree from New York University Medical School in New York, and completed his residency in internal medicine and general surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.

He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association. His clinical areas of interest include exercise and wellness, heart health, weight management and diabetes management.
