Dr. Michael Sun is everything you want in a physician! He is exceptionally knowledgeable in his field, answers all patient questions and explains diagnosis in detail without rushing thru definitive complicated test results. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Sun as the go to doctor specializing in hematology/oncology at Hartford Hospital. He is compassionate thorough and a wonderful professional practicing in a difficult field of medicine.

I have been a (now healthy) bladder cancer patient under the care of Dr. Sun since last summer. I felt immediately comfortable and confident with his manner and attitude. Although I chose not to follow the recommended protocol, Dr. Sun was willing to work with me and adapt the best treatment for my wishes. Initially during the first infusions, he took the time to call me at home and find out about my reactions to the chemo. He takes his time, asks repeatedly if I have any questions, never makes me feel hurried. After only 3 months of treatment under his care, I am fully cancer free but he is insists on continuing to monitor me to ensure the cancer does not return. I find him to be patient, concerned and caring.

Since my oncology appointments began in July 2025, Dr. Sun has kept my family and me updated, informed, and totally involved in my treatment plan and looking forward to time I was hesitant to plan, all thanks to Dr. Sun.
