There are not enough words in the English language to describe how incredibly wonderful Dr. Dost and her team are. I was terrified and unsure of what my future looked like, but Dr. Dost is the calm in the storm. She made myself and my family feel confident and positive about my future and related to me in a way that you don't see in Dr.'s offices these days anymore. She is a kind, gentle, wonderful person and she treats you like human being with feelings and concerns, and really validates your feelings it's absolutely amazing. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Dost, and I wish her and her team all the good things this world has to offer.

I cannot recommend her enough! I was so lucky to have her as my oncologist. She relocated to a new area. If you’re in her area, definitely go to her! She is so caring, extremely knowledgeable, incredibly efficient, and I fully trust her. She gets things done and taken care of right away. She always addressed any questions or concerns I had. I was well taken care of.

Bio

Dr. Sara Dost is a medical oncologist seeing patients at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Centers at Hartford and St. Vincent's Medical Center.

Board-certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine, she has conducted research into the effects of maternal polycystic ovarian syndrome on the fetal brain and the post-menopausal effects of estrogen on the hypothalamus. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.

Dr. Dost is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, a fellowship in palliative and hospice medicine at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of South Florida H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center.
